The Villanova Equity Society is a
completely student-run organization. Although faculty advisors do
exist, all aspects of society operations at large are organized,
initiated and carried out by the Operating Committee. All
investment activities are organized by the Chief Investment Officers of each fund
and executed by independent Investment committees. Each
committee consists of a CIO, Portfolio Manager, and five sector
captains.
In addition to providing real-world
investing experience, the Villanova Equity Society provides its
leaders with a unique opportunity to manage hundreds of students in the
operation of an investment management company. The leadership and
organizational skills required are demanding, as is the time
commitment to such an extra-curricular activity.
